SUSTAINABLY SOURCED, RESPONSIBLY PRODUCED
At Friendly Fire, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. All our charcoal, firelighters, and firewood are carefully sourced from Namibia’s natural hardwoods, harvested in a way that protects local ecosystems and supports responsible land management. We prioritize using dense, naturally regenerative species such as Sekelbos, Kameeldoring, and other indigenous bushveld hardwoods, ensuring that our products are both high quality and environmentally responsible.
Our sourcing practices are designed to minimize impact on the environment. Trees are selected and harvested in a controlled manner, allowing forests to regenerate naturally and maintain biodiversity. Where possible, we use invader bush and sustainably managed woodlands, helping to control invasive species while producing superior charcoal and firewood. This approach not only preserves Namibia’s unique landscapes but also supports local communities and sustainable livelihoods.
Choosing Friendly Fire means more than just a hotter, longer-lasting burn — it means making an eco-conscious choice. Every spark and flame is a step towards responsible consumption, reducing waste, and promoting sustainable forestry. By prioritizing natural, chemical-free products, we provide our customers with fuel that’s safe, clean, and kind to the planet, so every braai, fireplace, or outdoor fire can be enjoyed with confidence.
